Some greens within a tiny space @ 6-3-12

Welcome to our little garden. 

BS and I have been doing some gardening on our balcony. We started out about a month ago on this hobby.
The first few plants we got was at a nursery in Kota Damansara and second round we drove to Sg Buloh area and this Nursery caught my eye where I nick named it "Stall 54". The reason I stopped at this nursery is because of the big "SALE" word ~ suddenly I feel so "kiam siap", hahaha.

Due to space issue we have to crack our heads on what type of pots and plants that will fit. We spent quite a while standing there discussing under the hot sun before concluding ~ it was fun tho.

We went back to "Stall 54" last week and I got the "Water Lilies" that I so wanted during our second visit there. We got a few other tools along with some river stones and pots.
The pot where we planted the Water Lily seems to be leaking but we couldn't find any cracks. We are deciding to go back and exchange the pot and get a few hanging pots and some crawlers if have.

  1. Your plants are looking good. Do you have lots of sunshine? It is required for water lilies to bloom.

    the balcony has sunlight from morning to mid noon. i hope that is sufficient.

  3. You have a nice balcony garden! I like the way you placed those white river stones on the soil/container. Makes the containers look better and keeping the soil hydrated for longer period of time. Lot 54? I'll pay them a visit next time I am there. I hope you will be able to find a good replacement for the water lily. Great to see more and more people gardening :-D Keep up the good job BS and Andy!
