Work of mother nature

Something lovely has been happening over the past week in my little balcony garden. In my "Some greens within a tiny space @ 6-3-12" posting, BS and I turned our plain empty balcony into a little garden. I have selected a water lily to be part of the garden.
A few days ago I notice there was a little bud at the bottom of the tank where I planted the water lily. I was so excited and started to keep an eye on it's development.
This morning, we woke up to a special delight.

Look, look, look ~ our lily starts to bloom.
Too bad my camera is not good enough to take close up picture. Not to worry, BS own a DSLR camera that he bought earlier this year (Sony 380 ~ click to view posting).
Me Me Me ~ with the correct settings set by BS ~ all I did was ~ press the capture button (hehehe)

I combined all the pictures taken and created a short clip (below). All the time spent waiting was worth it. Take a look and you will understand why.

Your water lily is beautiful! Good choice. So are the rest of the plants in your lovely little garden.

  6. Your water lily is so pretty. Normally, water lily is pink in colour. Yours is special! Have you heard of 'keng fa'? It's another pretty flower.
